Kim Weir, FSMT (Assoc), LCSP (Assoc), and Claire Tuck, who holds an NVQ 3 in personal training, are the sports massage therapists at the Charles Street Clinic.

Kim Weir
"Each treatment varies from person to person but generally involves applying the hands to improve blood and lymph flow and stretch muscles to increase their flexibility and improve elasticity," explains Kim who has been in practice since 2000 and holds a Certificate of Sports Massage (Level 2).
Claire adds: "The aim is to improve general functionality by breaking down scar tissue, increase the range of joint movement and repair damaged ligaments and tendons. Nutritional advice may be included, too, based on a full lifestyle questionnaire and diet diary."
Both Kim and Claire have worked extensively in the health and fitness industry – Kim as a sports massage therapist and first aider in professional rugby and Claire as an instructor for the Dorchester Health Club. She holds a Diploma in Sports Massage Fundamentals.
"Since an accident in 1993 I’ve not been able to walk and have had very little movement in my right shoulder, arm and hand. Kim has worked wonders in releasing tendons and improving muscle movement and circulation. Thanks to her I’ve enjoyed an amazing improvement in my overall mobility."
