What is holistic massage?
Holistic massage may be defined as the manipulation of the soft tissues for a therapeutic purpose, with the intention of benefiting the whole person rather than just the individual components or for solely cosmetic purposes.
"Holistic" approach to massage means treating the whole person in mind, body and spirit. The comfort, warmth and reassurance of massage can stimulate the natural healing powers giving a sense of well–being and restoring both physiological and psychological balance. The various movements affect the skin, muscles, blood vessels, lymphatic system, nerves and some of the internal organs – such as the heart, lungs and digestive system – depending on the position and pressure of the techniques involved.

Some conditions Holistic Massage can relieve:
Regular Holistic Massage improves circulation, bringing oxygen and essential nutrients to the body's cells; it stimulates the lymphatic system thus helping to eliminate toxins, and can help regulate hormone production and boost the immune system. Holistic massage also helps to relax and so improve sleep patterns often disturbed caused by the under-lying effects of stress.
